Advisory & Professional Services

Design and migrate with people who have done it

HPE Advisory and Professional Services covers the design, deployment, and migration work that happens before and during a build, not after it. Advisory defines the target-state architecture and validates the bill of materials; professional services installs, configures, and migrates the environment on a governed timeline. This is for IT leaders at federal, SLED, healthcare, and enterprise organizations who need a design that maps to real workloads and a cutover that lands without a war-room weekend. Delivered through Uniqcli as an authorized HPE partner, engagements draw on the same building blocks HPE Services sells directly: Aruba Networking QuickStart packages for audit, design, deploy, and migrate in one motion, the GreenLake 6Rs framework for application migration decisions, HPE Zerto for live VMware workload moves, and HPE Data Migration Readiness Assessment or Accelerated Migration Services when storage and data center relocation are in scope. AOS 8 to AOS 10 migrations, VMware-to-Morpheus moves, and multi-site network refreshes all follow the same pattern: assess, design, pilot, phase, and hand off with documented runbooks so your team owns day-two operations.

When to choose this

Choose advisory and professional services when the work is design and deployment: new architecture, a migration, or a build with real project risk. Choose support services when the environment is already live and you need a break-fix or proactive care contract. Choose managed services when you want HPE or Uniqcli to run day-to-day operations after go-live. Financial services applies across all three when you need to structure payment around the project timeline instead of upfront capex.

How we engage

  1. 1

    Discover and assess

We document the current estate, workloads, constraints, and compliance requirements, then agree on the outcomes the project has to deliver.

  2. 2

    Design and validate

We architect the HPE, Aruba, and Juniper solution, validate the bill of materials against real workload sizing, and confirm redundancy and security against your targets.

  3. 3

    Pilot and plan the migration

We run a small pilot on a site, a cluster, or a workload class, then sequence the full cutover with a documented rollback plan, applying the 6Rs framework where application migration decisions are in scope.

  4. 4

    Deploy in phases

We install, configure, and test using QuickStart or custom delivery, rolling out in phases to limit blast radius on any single change window.

  5. 5

    Hand off with governance

We transfer runbooks, documentation, and a named point of contact so your operations team owns day-two support with a clear escalation path.

What you get

Target-state architecture

A validated design for HPE compute, storage, and Aruba/Juniper networking mapped to your workloads, sizing, redundancy, and compliance requirements, built with the same sizing tools HPE Services uses internally.

Validated bill of materials

A right-sized BOM checked against real workload data, not a generic reference architecture, so what ships matches what the environment actually needs on day one.

Migration and cutover plan

A sequenced runbook covering pilot, phased rollout, and rollback, whether the move is AOS 8 to AOS 10, VMware to HPE Morpheus and Zerto, or a multi-site data center relocation.

QuickStart or custom deployment

Install, configuration, and acceptance testing delivered as a packaged QuickStart for standard builds or a custom professional-services engagement for complex, multi-site rollouts.

Project governance and runbooks

A named project lead, milestone tracking, and documented runbooks so your operations team owns day-two support with a clear escalation path back to Uniqcli and HPE.

Service levels

Advisory (Design)

Discovery, target-state architecture, and BOM validation for HPE compute, storage, Aruba, and Juniper platforms. Includes zero-trust and SASE design work through HPE Aruba Networking SSE and EdgeConnect SD-WAN where segmentation or remote access is in scope.

Professional Services (Deploy)

Install, configuration, and acceptance testing delivered as HPE Aruba Networking QuickStart packages, combining audit, design, deployment, and migration in one engagement, or as custom professional services for larger, multi-site builds.

Migration Factory (Migrate)

Structured cutover for AOS 8 to AOS 10 and Aruba Central CNX, VMware-to-HPE Morpheus VM Essentials with HPE Zerto continuous replication, and HPE GreenLake 6Rs application migration (rehost, replatform, refactor, repurchase, retire, retain), plus HPE Data Migration Readiness Assessment and HPE Accelerated Migration Services for storage and data center moves.

Project Governance

HPE Remote Project Management and Resource Services patterns applied to the engagement: single point of contact, disciplined methodology, and documented runbooks handed to your operations team at go-live.

Frequently asked

What is the difference between advisory and professional services?

Advisory work is the design phase: target-state architecture, BOM validation, and sizing against real workloads. Professional services is the build phase: installation, configuration, migration, and acceptance testing. We scope most engagements to cover both so the design and the deployed system stay in sync, but either can stand alone.

Do you handle AOS 8 to AOS 10 migrations?

Yes. HPE Aruba Networking has positioned AOS 10 and Aruba Central CNX as the forward path, with AOS 8 support now transitional. We plan the migration around your current AP and gateway deployment (Central-managed, on-prem, or Instant), sequence a phased cutover, and validate policy and configuration against the AOS 10 object model before go-live.

Can you migrate us off VMware?

Yes. HPE Morpheus VM Essentials plus HPE Zerto supports live workload migration from VMware with continuous data protection, so VMs move with minimal disruption and a documented rollback path. HPE current migration program pairs this with financing designed to avoid double-paying for licenses during the transition.

How do you decide what to rehost vs. rearchitect?

We apply HPE GreenLake 6Rs framework: rehost or replatform first for quick wins on straightforward workloads, refactor (rearchitect) where cloud-native features add real value, repurchase where a SaaS alternative fits better, and retire or retain anything that does not justify the move. Each path gets a short pilot before we commit the full estate.

Do you deploy across edge, data center, and cloud?

Yes. HPE Services design spans edge-to-cloud, from tactical and remote sites to core data centers and hybrid cloud, so one architecture and one delivery team can cover the whole estate, including air-gapped builds like HPE Private Cloud PC7000 for sovereign and DoD-aligned environments.

Can you work alongside our existing IT team?

Yes. Engagements are scoped to complement your staff, using the same project-governance patterns as HPE Remote Project Management Service: a single point of contact, disciplined methodology, and a defined handoff. We do the design and the heavy lifting of deployment, then transfer documented runbooks so your team operates confidently after cutover.

What if we need zero-trust or SASE design as part of the project?

We fold it into the architecture phase. HPE Aruba Networking SSE and EdgeConnect SD-WAN design work covers ZTNA, SWG, CASB, and DLP configuration and verification against your security priorities, so segmentation and secure access are part of the target-state design, not a bolt-on after deployment.

Is this available on federal and SLED contract vehicles?

Yes. Advisory and professional services engagements are quoted through GPC, SAP, FAR-based orders, and GSA eBuy paths on TAA-compliant HPE and Aruba hardware, and are GPC-payable for smaller engagements.
