Juniper MX Series Routers
Carrier-grade universal routing for the edge, core, and AI inference aggregation, from HPE Juniper Networking.
Overview
The Juniper MX Series is HPE Juniper Networking's family of SDN-enabled universal routing platforms, built for carrier-grade system capacity, port density, and multi-year deployment life. It is the right fit for service providers, cloud operators, and federal, SLED, healthcare, and enterprise buyers who need one router architecture to cover business and broadband edge, mobile backhaul, peering, data center interconnect, and now AI inference aggregation at the edge.
The lineup spans compact 1 RU fixed routers up to 20-slot chassis delivering tens of terabits, all powered by Junos OS and Juniper's Trio silicon (through sixth generation on current platforms). Current-generation MX301 and MX304 are explicitly built as AI-native platforms: deterministic, low-latency Trio 6 forwarding tuned for distributed AI inference and edge clustering, alongside the full multiservice edge feature set (subscriber management, hierarchical QoS, NAT) that has always defined the MX family.
Security moved forward a generation too. Where the modular MX240/480/960 chassis deliver inline MACsec on 10/40/100GbE, the MX301, MX304, MX10004, and MX10008 add line-rate MACsec on 400GbE plus IPsec in ESP tunnel mode (AES-GCM-128/256) handled directly in the forwarding plane, no external crypto engine, no throughput penalty. The MX301 further adds Trusted Platform Module support for hardware-rooted device identity. For Uniqcli customers, that means one well-supported platform family, purchasable through an authorized HPE Juniper Networking partner, to standardize on across WAN, edge, and now AI-adjacent infrastructure.

How to buy Juniper MX Series Routers
Uniqcli sources MX Series routers as an authorized HPE Juniper Networking partner reseller. Configurations are quoted with the software licensing tier, support term, and optics your deployment requires, not shipped as a bare chassis you have to piece together after the fact.
Perpetual or term software licensing
MX platforms use tiered software licenses (Advanced or Premium class, scoped by port count) sold perpetual or on 1-, 3-, 5-, or 7-year terms with software support attached. We help you pick the class that unlocks the L2/L3 VPN, MACsec, and subscriber management features your design needs, without over-licensing.
Juniper Care and Juniper Support Insights
Every MX order can carry a Juniper Care support tier sized to your SLA, with Juniper Support Insights included for EOL/EOS tracking and software upgrade recommendations across your Junos OS fleet. We attach the term at quote time so support never lapses silently.
GPC, SAP, FAR, and GSA eBuy paths
As an authorized HPE partner, Uniqcli can quote MX Series hardware and services against GPC direct, SAP, FAR-based orders, and GSA eBuy vehicles for federal and DoD buyers, plus SLED cooperative contracts and GPC purchases for smaller orders.
TAA-compliant BOM construction
For contracts requiring Trade Agreements Act compliance, we build your MX bill of materials, from the base chassis to optics and support, to a TAA-compliant configuration and confirm it in writing before you place the order.
Refresh and trade-in for aging M/MX platforms
Running legacy M Series or early-generation MX hardware nearing end-of-support? We can quote a refresh path onto current MX301/MX304/MX10000-family platforms and structure trade-in credit against the old gear.
