Minot Air Force Base, located north of the city of Minot in north-central North Dakota, is one of the most strategically significant installations in the U.S. Air Force. It is the only base in the Department of the Air Force to host two legs of the nuclear triad: the 91st Missile Wing, which operates Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missiles dispersed across a wide missile complex, and the 5th Bomb Wing, which flies the B-52H Stratofortress.
